Students can borrow from the library while currently enrolled in an academic program.
For incoming students, library accounts are not active until the term begins. Students are also able to borrow for a limited grace period after graduating.
Currently enrolled students may borrow from Iowa FastTrac member institutions.
Undergraduates
You can borrow up to 100 items until the end of the semester.
Undergraduates taking 500+ level classes, University Honors Program
You can borrow up to 500 items until the end of the academic year.
First-Year Honors Program students can borrow up to 100 items until the end of the semester. You must be accepted into the full Honors Program to receive an end of academic year due date and increased item checkout limit.
Graduate Students
You can borrow up to 500 items until the end of the academic year.
Students working on a dissertation or thesis
If you are a graduate student working on your dissertation or thesis, and are not currently enrolled for credit, you can request to extend your library access. We will need an email from your dissertation or thesis advisor indicating how long you will need library access to complete your work.
